Hello to all of the Sweet Child O’ Mine family, clients, and staff. Midwife Kitty here with some news.
Growth requires change. Change is inevitable.
After an amazing, exhausting, thrilling four and half years the time has come for me to move on to a new stage in my journey. It’s time to change.
I have decided to take some much-needed personal time to restore, recuperate and make some much-needed changes to how I practice and provide Midwifery care.
With that in mind, I want to express my deepest joy in the time that I’ve had at Sweet Child O’ Mine.
I started as a managing student at SCOM. I came into a space that could’ve been hostile, that could’ve been frightening, but instead, I was made to feel welcome, and valued. Sweet Child O Mine has an amazing blend of caring, skill, and organization. I, as a student, was taken into that care as well. I was able to refine my skills, to continue to learn and grow, to meet the requirements to take the big test, and then to become a Licensed Midwife. I was able to have the delight and thrill of providing care as a primary Midwife to so many amazing families.
Some of my most cherished memories will always be with my Sweet Child O’ mine family. I have been known to say that moms/parents/families do all the work, but it has been my pleasure to be by your side witnessing the work. Thank you for welcoming me into your lives, allowing me to be with you in your most precious moments. Please know that your triumph is my triumph, your memories are my memories.
Thank you for all of your support, the space to learn, and for helping me to grow into the midwife that I can be proud of.
